I'm going to rant here today because I have been meaning to finish this complaint once and for all.
In some states in the USA, you don't have to worry about snow and slush and horrible driving conditions. But this rant goes beyond bad driving conditions, this rant is for all those drivers who are never paying attention when they should be!
Now I know people are rolling their eyes as I say this, but trust me! I drive to work monday-friday to get to work and I have seen almost every bad driver under the sun! I see at least four accidents a week and in this week alone I have seen a dozen accidents and almost 16 cars in ditches along the road. Everyone thinks they're a good driver, but that mindset flies away as soon as your car slides along that ice or when you swerve to avoid a deer/child/other car/basketball and go right into a ditch.
Let's put a situation in mind: You're driving home from work one day, and on your way there is a car infront of you and whoever this person is he/she is going 10 under the speed limit. Eventually you are so angry and upset that this person is slowing your afternoon ride home that you are throwing up your hands in anger or yelling at this person even though he/she cannot hear you. Then, all of a sudden this person's car brakes suddenly and even though you are one car length between you two, you end up having to swerve to the side as this person gets ready to turn "left" without a turn signal or any warning.
Then you end up bumping his/her car with yours and swear at yourself for not being more careful.
As you start to get mad at yourself you notice this person get out of his/her car, talking on a gawd damn cell phone!
Let's go over this, yes?
First, this person has been going ten under the speed limit for 9 blocks. Then he/she has short-stopped without a turn signal, obviously not paying attention to what they were doing or where they were going. And after all of this they continue to blame you for hitting their car. Is it your fault that they were not paying attention and forgot to warn your by illegally not using their turn signal?
Not technically. Both of you are at fault. But the point I am trying to get at is that should cell phones be banned from the roads?
That's like trying to get someone to stop reaching for something in their backseat. It will never happen.
Should you be more aware on the road? Absofuckinlutly!
People get into accidents all the time because of cell phone. Hell, I've bumped somebody before because I was looking at my calender. And I have been horribly rear ended by a 16 year old on a cell phone in the cadillac (anyone who knows me, knows that this did not go over well. I love that caddy).
These little things drive me nuts though! Stop talking on your cell phone when you're driving, especially on busy streets or one lane roads where you can easily go into a ditch. Be smart. Use your brain!

Wow... I'm really tired sitting here at work. It's just a gloomy gloomy day, all rainy and shit.
And I find myself liking livejournal more... still. Though this is good for Gaara :D but at least now I can have 100 icons, which makes me very happy! But still I wish I could change around the journal more. Oh well...
Anyways! I didn't get to vote yesterday but in the democratic world it seems as though Obama is winning, which I am not complaining about, I personally think he's very smart though a little young. I plan on voting in the big election on November... so I do need to go and register even though I'm a lazy ass.
So yeah! I need to do that and start drawing again once I get my ass in gear. I've also decided to continue my daily illustrations since I just seem to be getting much better with the practice. But from now on Tues.'s and Wed.'s illustrations will be on traditional medium (sketchbook haha) instead of digital.
I hope I can continue this.
Also another goal I have is to lose 10 pounds. And then 20 and work my way down to the weight I used to be at. I'm not fat, but I'm not skinny either, and my doctor also keeps telling me that I am not healthy... which I could have already told her. So I will be working on getting healthy over the next month. That also means I will be trying to take 45 minute walks/jogs on Mon., Thurs. & Sat. I can't go on Tues. & Wed because my classes go until 9pm, and I start work at 8am... so yeah. I have absolutely no time on those days for anything other than work, school and a bit of drawing maybe.
So yeah. I should be working on that soon. Also I'm going to be watching what I eat more, especially when it comes to bread and snacky gross delicious foods. Also... giving up soda was the best decision I ever made :D
Alright I'm going to stop ranting now.
